Business Development Representative – West Coast
Excel Translations has an immediate opening for an experienced Business Development Representative. We offer an attractive compensation and benefits package.
Responsible for developing new customer accounts, especially in the life sciences industry. The role includes prospecting and qualifying sales leads (including cold calls), processing and closing sales per sales quota. Must have the ability to approach high-level translation decision-makers and make sales presentations to groups. Must have the ability to evaluate and process RFQs as necessary. Home- or office-based position. Must be located in the SF Bay Area or willing to relocate.
Essential Job Duties:
- Achieving sales quotas.
- Securing long-term accounts.
- Developing strategies for identifying leads and closing deals.
- Identifying and maximizing opportunities with existing customers.
- Conducting cold sales calls.
- Performing other sales and marketing functions as needed.
Experience:
- Two years of sales experience within the translation industry.
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Motivated self-starter, who can work on own initiative.
- Methodical and organized.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Contact Management Applications (Goldmine, Act), FTP, and TM Tools.
